Fortnite x Marvel Rivals collab was Doomed to flop

The Fortnite x Marvel Rivals collaboration had so much potential. Instead, it gave us Doom. Again. The announcement of the crossover generated considerable enthusiasm among fans. The prospect of Marvel Rivals, a game celebrated for its elegant character designs, collaborating with Fortnite appeared to be an ideal union within the gaming community. However, the introduction of the Doom 2099 skin as part of this crossover event, which runs from December 6, 2024, to January 6, 2025, did not meet expectations. Priced at 1,500 V-Bucks in the Fortnite Item Shop, this skin features a cybernetic aesthetic and includes a 2099 Cape back bling. Additionally, a Galacta Staff pickaxe is available for purchase separately at 800 V-Bucks. This marks Fortnite's inaugural collaboration with Marvel Rivals, aimed at enhancing its Marvel partnership. Unfortunately, the outcome has left me, along with approximately 12,500 players who provided negative feedback on the Doom 2099 skin, feeling quite disheartened.
